New Yin Yoga Mini Series for Hips, Spine and Shoulders

This summer, I’m running a three-week Yin Yoga series, each class focused on areas of the body that often feel tight—hips, spine, shoulders. Think deep, steady stretches and time to properly slow down.

Whether you’re always on the move or spend a lot of time sitting, most of us have spots that feel a bit stuck. Yin Yoga works gently into those areas using long-held, floor-based postures. It targets the body’s connective tissues, helping to release tension, boost circulation and support ease of movement over time.

Here’s what we’ll focus on each week:

20 July – Hips & Legs
We’ll work into glutes, hamstrings, hips and inner thighs. Expect deep, grounded stretches to help ease stiffness in the lower body.

27 July – Spine & Side Body
This week’s all about the back, waist and ribcage. A chance to find more space through the spine and bring in a sense of lightness and ease.

3 August – Shoulders & Chest
For the final session, we’ll open up the front of the body—shoulders, chest, and upper back. A great antidote to hunching, driving, and desk time.

What to expect
Each class moves at a slow, steady pace. Poses are held for 3 to 5 minutes with plenty of support from props—bolsters, blocks, cushions, whatever helps you feel comfortable. Nothing forced, no flexibility needed, just time and space to soften.

Yin can feel deeply nourishing and calming—great for the body and the nervous system. I’ll also be diffusing NEOM essential oils during practice for an extra layer of calm.
