Yoga Teacher based in Rugby, Warwickshire. Weekly Vinyasa, weekly Yin, mini reset events, workshops and UK retreats with Gemma Murphy Yoga.
Life moves fast. Between work, family, screens and endless to-do lists, it can be hard to find space to breathe.
My classes offer a pause: time to move with intention, build strength and mobility, calm the nervous system and reconnect with yourself.
Whether you’re drawn to the flowing energy of Vinyasa, the stillness of Yin, or a longer reset session, you’ll find welcoming yoga that supports real life, not just time on the mat.
Local classes take place in Rugby and Houlton, welcoming students from Clifton-upon-Dunsmore, Coton Park, Hillmorton and surrounding villages.

What Students Say
Gemma is a fantastic teacher! The classes are brilliant, all focused on working towards a different concept of yoga. You can definitely enjoy and progress in Gemma’s classes whatever your level or previous experience. Gemma is so knowledgeable as a teacher and if you wish, she can adjust your body during the class to help progress. Well needed every week. It’s perfect for self care. Highly recommend!

I have just completed a block of classes with Gemma and I’ve loved them! I love how each set of 6 sessions has a particular focus – this one was on stiff neck and shoulders – perfect when bent over a laptop during the rest of the week! Gemma is very encouraging, supportive and goes at a great pace – giving a wide variety of options for adaptations according to experience/injury/flexibility. I’ve noticed progress in myself in just 6 weeks and definitely hope to do more in the future!

Gemma is an exceptionally kind, patient, experienced and knowledgeable yoga teacher. Her practice leaves me feeling, calm, refreshed, energised and supported. I feel exceptionally lucky to be able to share my yoga journey with her and I would thoroughly recommend her classes for novices through to experienced yogis alike.

Gemma’s yoga classes are wonderful. She’s a clearly experienced teacher that is very skilled and connected to her practice. She provides (if you choose) hands-on tweaks to your poses to make sure you get the most from your practice and shares poetry and wisdom that aids reflection.

I can highly recommend Gemma Murphy’s Yoga classes. She has a calming presence in her teaching method, encouraging you to really connect with your mind and body whilst pushing yourself to achieve new limits. It is a lovely group that Gemma tailors to suit all abilities. As a total beginner I didn’t feel ‘behind’ in any way as we were encouraged to take the class at our own pace. I would highly recommend this class.

Coming from a ten-year hiatus from yoga, I found Gemma to be the perfect teacher to ease me back into the practice. She’s clear and assertive with her instructions, creative and thoughtful in her lesson plans with guidance to helps students improve. I’ve enjoyed both Houlton classes and found myself learning a lot each week. It’s one of the things I most look forward to.

I wasn’t sure yoga was going to be my thing but I can honestly say Gemma’s classes are superb! I really look forward to my weekly flow. I always feel calm, free from distraction and rested. Gemma is patient, kind and an excellent teacher.

My partner and I have been attending Gemma’s Yoga sessions for the last few months. We were both beginners and absolutely love attending the classes together. Both of us struggle with back pain and the sessions have noticeably improved this, plus helping our flexibility and ability to switch off and relax (even just for an hour a week!) We would both highly recommend Gemma and look forward to continuing with her classes.
