Last Yoga in Rugby Class of the Year

It can be an anxious and overwhelming time of year so today in our last yoga class of the year, we practised a chilled-out slow flow which included Christmas tree, star pose, angel pose, lots of forward folds and an extra long relaxation.

Forward folds are amazing, especially at this time of year. They create length and space in the spine, counteracting compression. When you fold forward, you are turning inward physically, mentally and emotionally, resulting in greater introspection and a sense of peace. These poses are therefore also helpful for reducing anxiety and stress and their inward nature can promote introspection.
